How did you get started in the Hair industry?
My love for the industry began at a young age watching my mother own and run her own salon for many years. I knew I wanted to be first in line for the cosmetology program offered at my high school career center.

Taylor Swift, call me basic but she is my idol 😍
What’s your current favorite hair trend?
I love bouncy blowout style curls! The volume is unmatched.
Jennifer Aniston, obsessed with her layered cuts over the years.
Describe a typical day-in-your life?
I spend my early mornings having breakfast with my six year old son. 3 days of the week I head to the salon 9am until about 4pm. In my time off I like to enjoy summer activities with my son and friends like pool days, enjoying local parks, and of course finding new yummy spots for lunch/dinners!
What’s the one habit everyone can do to get better/healthier hair?
Using heat protection consistently. My favorite is Kenra Blowdry Spray.
Do you have any tips for artists starting out in the industry?
Find the community that supports you. People who will help you grow. People who want to see you succeed. This industry can be so fun when we collaborate and support one another! Community over competition is so important.
What do you do to feel more inspired?
I find a lot of my inspiration from fellow creatives on Instagram! I love to see new ideas and how we can put our own spin on different trends.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Being true to yourself. Not every client is for you and that is ok. Find the clients who best fit what you want to create for yourself and your career path.
What’s been your proudest moment in the industry?
Opening a hair salon @_poshhairco where myself and several other stylist have a niche space built for exactly what we love to do, color and extensions! Our space is warm, girly, and inviting. It’s everything I’ve always dreamed of.
What would be your career path in another life?
In another life I would own a cute little bakery in a small town. Maybe even a tourist destination. Making cute little pastries and breakfast items. Specialty coffees and desserts.
